Hello,
This is the
home page for Henkle Middle School's music program. We run five
different ensembles throughout the year:
- 7/8 Wind Ensemble
- 5/6 Concert Band
- Jazz Band
- Power Band
- 5/6 Choir (2nd quarter only)
We also teach
a gerneral music class to all 5/6 graders.
The goal of
our music program is to enable student's to create and recognize
beauty in themselves and the world around them. This includes music
performace and critical listening skills. We learn what music is
made of and what it is made for.
Our music
instruction follows the MENC national standards for music education
as well as Washington State's EALRs. Visitors are encouraged to
swing by the music room to see what is happening and to
