Physical Science

Welcome students, parents, and guardians to Physical Science!  Together we will be exploring the science of matter and energy this term.  With a little bit of hard work and a lot of curiosity, I know you will succeed in this class.  Students will perform inquiry-based laboratories and will use mathematic skills to investigate phenomena of the natural world. Topics to be covered include: Forces and Motion, Work and Energy, Sound and Waves, Light and Optics, Energy and the Earth System, Earth Science, and Astronomy.

Algebra I

Welcome students, parents, and guardians to a new school year! This course is centered on three major topics-language and symbolism; relations and functions; and graphs. Students will learn to use algebra to represent situations that involve variable quantities with expressions, equations and inequalities. Emphasis will be placed on using linear and quadratic functions to solve application problems.
